Empowering Women Globally via Education
Neighborly Giving Foundation partners with the Alabaster Projects team and Pastels Collections organization. Together we bring training to women in India, Nepal, and select courses via online training for a global reach.
Summer Programs Abroad
Secondary grade students in Junior and Senior year participate in the Alabaster Project – Fashion and Baking programs.
Our trained teachers provide 4 hours of instruction per day with additional time for the girls to work on their market projects. 10 students are selected for each program to participate for a 5 month period generously supported through a donor sponsored training program.
Students learn tailoring terminology, techniques, hems, cuts, and patterns, by the end of 4 weeks students will have crafted various articles to be sold in the local market. This is how Alabaster Project teaches small business skills.
5 students will learn how to bake using common tools at home and how to master rice flour creating gluten free products. Students will learn to bake cupcakes, cakes, muffins, and other delicious treats that will
